Curation Elective Journal.

On trying to compile my notes and journal for my elective I found that it was spread across a range of different notebooks and scraps of paper.

In order to make it easier for myself and provide a record of online resources and links for further research, I have compiled it into this blog. Although not strictly a journal, in the traditional sense, it works much better for me and hopefully will also help others in their research.

As a group we had planned on putting on an actual event. Through contacts from our group it is possible to get the downstairs bar of the Soho Theatre, Dean Street, for free. A lavish bar with gold walls and red leather booths. (Better images of the space to come.)

There is no doubt that it is a nice space and the fact that it would be free is very appealing. However, it is quite large and has a strong atmosphere anyway which we would have to complement and bear in mind when selecting works to exhibit and the overall theme for an exhibition/event. On the flipside though we could choose to ignore this and create an entirely new atmosphere within the space.
