Art in America: Curation in the Expanded Field: Changing Expectations of the Art Blog
Interesting article on the development of Art blogs. In the similar way in which I view publishing and some shops as a form of curation, blogs in general are like a basic exercise in the skills of curation. Obviously not all are amazing, but every so often talented authors bring together a range of links, images and disparate fragments to create an insightful and exciting archive of work and commentary on modern social aspects. Tumblr is in essence a visual archive and gallery for found imagery. Anyway I am not eloquent enough to really analyse this so go read the article over on Art in America by clicking the image.
